Description Technical Specs Installation Video

Thin and light design

RVibrake2 is the smallest and easiest to use auxiliary braking system on the market. Unlike other portable braking systems, RVibrake2's housing pushes against the floor pan (the rise in the floor where the driver’s seat is mounted) in the tow vehicle instead of the soft seat when activating. This allowed RVibrake2 to be designed as small as possible making RVibrake2 easy to install and easy to stow. (15% thinner than RVibrake)

One-Touch Auto Positioning

This is truly one of a kind technology. Push the green Auto Position button on RVibrake2’s control panel and watch RVibrake2’s actuator push on the brake pedal, positioning the housing against the seat pan automatically. RVibrake2’s One-Touch Auto Positioning technology allows for a perfect install every time, no guessing if RVibrake2 was installed properly!

2nd Generation Technology
(2.0 Software)

RF Signal Boost
RVibrake2's new RF Signal Boost software now gives you greater RF communication. RF is restricted by the FCC
Tire Pressure Sensors
RVibrake Tire Pressure Sensors are the easiest to use tire pressure sensors available. Simply enable the sensors on RVibrake2's Wireless Monitor, thread them onto the towed vehicle's tire stems, and you’re ready to go! (sensors sold separately)
Battery Protection
Built upon RVibrake's 1.0 software battery monitoring, RVibrake2 monitors your towed vehicle's battery voltage output as well as RVibrake2's draw on the towed vehicle's battery.

Truly proportional

RVibrake is the only portable braking system that is truly proportional, because it pushes against the solid floorpan an not the seat cushion. The harder you brake in the motorhome the harder RVibrake2 pushes on the brake pedal of your towed vehicle. RVibrake2's proportional technology provides smooth operation in moderate braking, or panic braking situations

Wireless Monitor

The Wireless Monitor will allow you to make adjustments to RVibrake2's settings while traveling, as well as monitor performance.

Features include:
• Bar graph display of when the towed vehicle is braking
• Manual Brake Test activation
• Towed Vehicle low battery indication
• Audible Break-Away alert
• Tire Pressures (When enabled)

Lightning Fast Installation
60 second installation

1) Attach the brake pedal clevis onto the brake pedal
2) Plug the power cord into the towed vehicle's 12-volt outlet
3) Press the Auto Position button on the control panel
4) RVibrake2's adjustable actuator will push on the pedal,
moving the housing into the same position every install.

I purchased this over a year ago.  The tech folks at RVI helped me resolve a couple of problems that I inherited.  Once we got it sorted out, at no charge to me, it has worked flawlessly for over a year.  Kudos to RVI.   Great customer service, great product, great attitude.

Best Customer Service Ever !!!! July 25, 2014
Reviewer: Rick D from Ormond Beach, FL
broke the antenna.  Called RVI, not only did they repair it free of charge, they also modified the 12v plug with a wired plug.
Their service was real fast and arrived in less than 5 days from my door to my door.
The owner, Dan shoots for 100% customer satisfaction. This is the easiest aux brake I have ever owned (3 now).I bought for it's portability and found it very easy to use.  When I first got my RVI brake, I had some trouble figuring out how to use it.  1 phone call took care of it all.
Follow the instructions, look at you tube, this is a very easy and proficient braking system I would highly recommend.
Thank You to the staff @ RVI for your friendly and knowledgeable customer service.
I have now used the RVI brake for around 15K miles with NO issues.  It is nice knowing that their customer service is just a call away.
Keep up the good work !!!!

Brake costs May 16, 2014
Reviewer: Gary from Prescott AZ
I was going to buy the rv brake 2 because I wanted to stop the difficulty with the brake buddy and it's size to deal with since I am disabled.  I looked at the new one but when I saw the price decided rather than fool with another expensive add on I will pull without just slower and with more distance between me and others.  I asked the dealer if he would give a trade in allowance he said no so I will not pay such an outlandish price for this or any other brand.  My goodness a gallon of milk is cheaper today than a gallon of gas I just need to keep working on how to make milk flameable.

performance July 15, 2013
Reviewer: L Evans from Gwynn Oak MD
Used for 1st time MD to NC trip. Easy set up. Used seat bar & a 2X4 under unit to level it in by 2012 Explorer. I will make a plywood support before next trip. The RVI worked as great but I did lock my toads breaks by stoping at a rest stop, running the car, as recomended by ford and not ressetting the the RVI brake. Once you touch the brake pedal manually you must reset the brake or bad things can happen, like smoking your toads brakes and the monitor wont show them as applied. Ihis is not in the directions. I now reset the brake then put RV in drive and note if it pulled toad forward without giving it gas. This indicates toad is free wheeling and brakes are not applied. I did not give 5 stars because of the fit issue and the missing instructions. All in All a GOOD PRODUCT!

RVIBrake2 June 23, 2013
Reviewer: Tim from Minnesota-Florida
Although it works, it doesn't fit the floorplan of my Lincoln MKS.  It has to sit in the floor raised in the rear and needs support against the seat to work.
It also can flat spot your tires.  It has to be set up lighter than you would think.
